Day Thirtyone..Everything's David David David

So I thought I'd throw in a bit of John 'Capt. Jack' Barrowman. He's hot and he loves dogs! The love of animals says a lot about a person in my opinion. He's a patron of the Dog's Trust in the UK and takes his dogs with him just about everywhere he goes. John is a caring, wonderful person who should be applauded for his work. Here's to John Barrowman..God Bless You!

Support your local shelters if you can. Even if you can't adopt these shelters are always in need of food, blankets, newspapers, volunteers, and so much more. Money is appreciated also but there are so many options to help out these poor animals that just want to be loved.

In 2004 I got my own bundle of love from a local shelter. Since then he has been the best friend I could ever have. Rex is a half labrador retriever/half cocker spaniel. He looks more like a lab but the cocker shines through in his eyes and short nubby tail. He's my 4 legged, hairy, son. My gift from God. He makes me a better person and gives me a reason to get out of bed every day. In many ways he's saved my life.

When I lost my job of 9 years in 2006 due to cutbacks and new management, Rex consoled me as I went into a deep depression. The job situation in Mississippi at the time was next to nothing. I was out of work for over a year. My parents helped support me and Bless them for that. I would never have made it without them but they were 300 miles away in Louisiana. Rex was my constant companion. I would just have to look into his eyes and I knew I had to make it. If not for my sake for his.

If you are shopping for a puppy please give the shelter deep consideration before buying from a breeder. Not all breeders are bad but a lot of them are puppy mills where the breeder dogs are kept in terrible conditions. They are never shown love. They exist for one purpose only and that is to produce pups that will sell. Do your homework on who you buy from before making any decisions. Just remember a mutt is just as lovable as a pure bred.
